One major development in rookery that I’m experimenting with is the ability to add an idea that emerges from: some set of existing ideas. I realized that I wanted this feature as I was trying to break down the argument for a book into ideas, and found myself thinking in this ‘dialectical’ manner. The problem is that I’m not yet sure whether this from: relation should be any different than the existing deps: relationship. It may just be that I want to rename the deps: argument to the more generic and generative from:.
It is getting on for time to do a 0.1.1 release of rookery, as I’ve been making tweaks and improvements on a dev branch as I build out my rookeries and catch bugs—but I want to make sure the performance issues are resolvable first.
