My first really late weeknote, as my parents were visiting from Friday, and the weekend was accordingly lost. The addition of a couple of new packages in rookery have now made it largely impossible to return to my old system. I experienced this same tipping point when adopting Vim, and then Linux: there comes a point when the experience of the new system doesn’t transpose back to the old (Sublime Text and MacOS respectively). From this point on, it is much more valuable to invest time in learning, developing, and migrating the new system rather than languishing in the inadequacies of the old.
